HCL (former Volvo IT) – Handover of IT services and data for Stockholms StadBACKGROUND: HCL's contract regarding IT operations with the City of Stockholm (CoS) expired in 2018 as the contract was won by new suppliers Tieto (administrative) and Fujitsu (educational). For 10 years, HCL (Volvo IT) has provided workplace services, server operations and support to 18 union administrations, 14 district administrations, 17 companies and a foundation with 22,000 employees and 108,000 students and teachers in 780 preschools and schools, which together have 130,000 user accounts, 65,000 computers and about 1,000 servers. A program to support the handover of services and data to the new suppliers was started (Stockholm ExIT) to support the CoS in a time- and cost-effective transfer with the aim of as little impact as possible for the City's users and businesses.My main responsibility was to handover all of the application servers to Tieto. Besides solving technicalities how to move the systems also plan with all involved resources on HCL side in collaboration with Tieto. Had a significant role in cleaning up the infrastructure environment at HCL when everything was moved.

Rollout of the new infrastructure, client environment and mail on the offices in Vårgårda and Hamburg. Around 110 clients, 150 users and 10 system environments.

Project management of the roll-out in Sweden and the responsibility for monitoring the overall project. Handling of roll-out activities and in addition also manage and support the technological environment in terms of software distribution (SCCM) and client management (AD). Scope of about 8000 clients on a large number of offices.

In addition to daily operations management including planning and conducting maintenance and upgrades of the environment hardware and software. User support the StarTeam Client to help users and support where needed.
