Michael Hathaway has worked his way up from the entry level position, to being director in 4 short years in the University of South Florida organization Safe and Free Escort (SAFE) Team. While working 30 to 40 hours a week, he attended classes at the University of South Florida as a full time student. Both these experiences have help shape Michael Hathaway into the person he has become today. Things Michael learned while working at SAFE Team:•Technology is the future, and organizations and businesses have to keep up with it. •Michael is top-notch at implementing new technology to make life easier for everyone who uses it. •Michael works very well with a team, as well as on his own. •He has big ideas, and knows how to execute them. After graduating from the University of South Florida, Michael continued his education by getting excepted into the Masters of Public Health graduate program. While continuing his education, Michael obtained a position with the Florida Department of Health as a Disease Intervention Specialist. While working at the Florida Department of Health, Michael discovered another passion; Firefighting and Emergency Medical Services. Michael left the Florida Department of Health to pursue this passion and know is a Florida Licensed Firefighter 2/EMT.
