As a Ph.D. scholar at the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), I am passionate about advancing the field of genetics and plant breeding through research and innovation. My academic journey in agriculture began with a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (SKLTSHU), Hyderabad, where I graduated in 2021. I then advanced to earn my Master of Science degree from the prestigious Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi. With over two years of research experience as an M.Sc. Scholar, I have developed strong expertise in data collection, statistical analysis, and effective presentation skills. These abilities enable me to conduct and communicate my research findings with precision and clarity. My core competencies encompass plant genetics, molecular breeding, biotechnology, and crop improvement. Currently, my Ph.D. research focuses on improving pearl millet, a crucial crop for food security in semi-arid regions. By employing advanced genetic and molecular techniques, I aim to develop pearl millet varieties that are more resilient to environmental stresses, highly productive, and sustainable.
