Rahsa Thriving Biodiversity Foundation is a non-profit organization established to promote biodiversity conservation, sustainable agriculture, sustainable nutrition, and youth & women's community empowerment. The foundation aligns its initiatives with global sustainability goals, focusing on regenerative practices and local wisdom.Supported by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), we have actively engaged in multifaceted interventions in Rote Ndao, particularly in the villages of Oeleka and Helebeik. The program, spanning six months from November 2023 to May 2024, has demonstrated a commitment to addressing complex issues through systemic and sustainable approaches.Key interventions involve enhancing the capacity of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) and empowering Integrated Health Service Post (Posyandu) cadres. With the support from FAO, the foundation has synchronized its interventions with global agricultural development strategies, emphasizing sustainable farming practices and rural community empowerment.The foundation conducted a comprehensive training program for 2 BUMDes members, focusing on financial management, product planning, and sustainable agricultural practices. Simultaneously, 30 Posyandu cadres received training to improve their understanding of balanced nutrition.Rahsa Thriving Biodiversity Foundation has strategically involved various stakeholders, including local farmers and fishermen, fostering collaborations through a regenerative farming forum. This participatory forum ensures inclusive decision-making processes, allowing the community to voice concerns and contribute to problem-solving.The foundation's collaboration with FAO and other partners reflects a commitment to challenging gender norms and promoting universal access. This is evident in the parenting education initiatives, financial planning training, and efforts to engage both women and men in the "Healthy Food for Better Generations" program.
