Developed advanced thermal energy storage system that uses Aluminum as phase change material (PCM) for high temperature heat storage. Successfully converted DOE SBIR Phase I project into Phase II.2. Developed cryogenic temperature methane constant conductance heat pipe for NASA GSFC. 3. Wrote multiple DOE SBIR Phase I, Phase II, NASA Phase I, non-SBIR proposals. Part of a team that won several Phase I, Phase IA, Phase II funded projects from DOE and NASA.

Dissertation: Fundamentals of Interfacial Processes on Non-wetting Surfaces1. Derived perfect analytical formulations for the prediction of effective slip length, drag reduction, reduced friction coefficient and enhanced convective heat transfer performance for fluid flow over superhydrophobic and lubricant‑infused surfaces2. Developed design maps for the maximum allowable performance output of superhydrophobic surfaces by considering the hydrodynamic constraints imposed by Cassie to Wenzel transition of the working fluid3. Conducted a theoretical analysis on the dropwise condensation performance of multiscale rough non‑wetting surfaces using a fractal approach of surface characterization.4. Experimentally investigated the heat transfer fouling mitigation performance of superhydrophobic, lubricant‑infused and solid‑infused surfaces in comparison to conventional smooth surfaces for a range of foulant types5. Developed a unique approach to consider superhydrophobic, lubricant‑infused and smooth surfaces alike with a single unified mathematical formulation to quantify the fouling performance.

1. Experimentally investigated the effects of vapor mediated interactions on the evaporation dynamics of pure and nanocolloidal sessile droplet(s) resting on hydrophobic substrates2. High speed imaging and Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) techniques were used to monitor droplet contact line dynamics and study internal flow structures, and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) imaging was used to study the morphology of the residual structures3. Developed unified semi‑analytical models for the prediction of evaporation lifetime of sessile droplets undergoing vapor mediated interactions on hydrophilic and hydrophobic substrates4. Studied the evaporation dynamics of surfactant‑laden nanocolloidal sessile droplet on a hydrophobic surface
