The goals, a comprehensive set of data around individuals with spine related issues; which we accomplished. Data collected from current electronic health systems and directly from patients, provided physicians and health systems large and small, powerful insights into the care of the growing spine patient population. This collaborative ongoing role is to provide data to understand better what is quality spine care and to help define the value of treatments for individuals with spinal diseases and injuries.

Through my leadership, transitioned an independent outpatient multidisciplinary to hospital ownership and through this transition, created a fully integrated rehabilitation department a community hospital, Overlake Medical Clinics. The department maintained it roots in supporting the complete individual with the highest level of service possible. The department continued success is owed to being a highly coordinated, team approach to recovery from injuries and chronic conditions providing exactly what each individual needs, treating many conditions, such as back and neck pain, shoulder injuries, and headaches. Guiding philosophy to treat early, and effectively, not just to prevent chronic pain and disability, but, to prevent injuries and disability. The best intervention is one that avoids medical care entirely, by promoting health, fitness and wellness. -

The workgroup develops recommendations to tie provider payment to an entire episode of care including potential complications resulting from poor care and has focused on total knee and total hip replacement, lumbar fusion, and coronary artery bypass surgery.

The success of this clinic, was, a large part, thanks to a combination of attention to exceptional customer service, tightly coordinated medical care, care processes that leveraged information systems, and an attention to the needs of a quickly developing community in Issaquah, Bellevue and many communities east, south and North. Clinic started as a solo practitioner in 2005 and I built this into a well-rounded, multidisciplinary musculoskeletal practice with 10 practitioners, more than 30 total employees and its own billing and accounting departments. The business was sold to Overlake Hospital in 2017 and became the musculoskeletal medicine department within Overlake, which I ran.
