I partner with arts and humanities departments, centers, programs, and initiatives to find and tell stories that illustrate the important work they do. That includes showcasing research discoveries, applauding notable achievements, and highlighting the everyday successes of students, alumni, faculty, and staff. I supervise and coach a team of student writers and editors, overseeing the storytelling process from idea to publication and promotion.* Identify, frame, and edit compelling feature stories that support broader business goals* Oversee the production of 15 annual newsletters through Salesforce Marketing Cloud, reaching well over 10,000 alumni and donors each year* Co-create and execute small communication campaigns across a variety of channels (blog posts, marketing emails, social media posts, video, print)* Own the content strategy for 20+ websites, collaborating with website editors to ensure that the content is effective and follows best practices* Co-managed the migration of 10,000+ pages of content across 60+ websites to a new content management system (and won an award for it!)* Co-convene the Forum of Liberal Arts Communicators (FLAC), a professional group for communicators across the college* Use project management software and other tools to improve workflows* Supervise and train 5–15 student interns who write and edit web and feature content* Temporarily managed college social media accounts for a colleague on leave (4.5 months)

Provided communications and administrative support for an academic department, including managing a web migration project, developing and maintaining a robust intranet website that has since been adopted as a template that is used across the college, compiling weekly newsletters sent out to internal and external audiences, organizing and communicating various types of information to diverse audiences, serving as a go-to resource for policy and technology questions, processing financial documents, planning and publicizing events, ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and training and supervising student workers.
