Hauke combines more than 10 years of experience in supporting sustainable energy solutions with hands-on experience in fund management. For a decade he has worked in international cooperation for sustainable development, focusing on a) designing efficient and effective funds to support sustainable energy and b) policy mechanisms to support renewable energy development in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Hauke also developed the sustainable energy business at NIRAS, one of the largest providers of development assistance services in the EU. In 2020, he moved from a global to a local perspective. Hauke took the opportunity to design and manage Germany's first municipal performance-based fund for innovative climate solutions. The €20 million Stuttgart Climate Innovation Fund supports new and innovative solutions to mitigate climate change and adapt to its impacts at the local level.
