Start Change is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and growing other nonprofits through back office support, consulting, and fiscal sponsorship. As Executive Director, I work with my Board of Directors to steward our charitable fundraising while offering as much service to the nonprofit community as possible.

Start Change builds capacity in the nonprofit sector by supporting and cultivating nontraditional leadership, changing the demographic profile of thought leaders and decision-makers, and serving as midwife to start-up social enterprise projects. As a Consultant, I work with organizations of all sizes on specialized projects, my favorite being those projects that are creating something new with passionate and thoughtful organizational leaders. Past projects have included: capital campaigns, strategic plan reports, grassroots organizing and outreach, program design, building stakeholder networks, public presentations, and donor relations projects.

Assisting clients with communication disabilities attend and gain access to Vermont judiciary proceedings as well as other agency based meetings.

Vermont Guardian Ad Litem (GAL), licensed foster parent, family advocate. Working with families who have children and adults with a variety of disabilities to navigate and advocate for services from designated agencies and schools. Experience working with a wide variety of team members ranging from Early Intervention to Parent-Child Centers, and even educational Attorneys. Experience supporting families through out of district/state placements, mediation, dcf meetings, and ongoing IEP/ISA meetings.

As Executive Director led organizational collaborations with local designated agencies, school districts, arts organizations, and clinical providers. Responsible for grant process, donor relations, and funding strategies.

Helping families with disabilities navigate the school system in both Vermont and New Hampshire through consultation and by attending in-person Special Education meetings with schools and mediators.

Coordinating with schools and community sources from both Vermont and New Hampshire to provide meaningful curriculum in tandem with state requirements.

Educator with the Families Learning Together program (FLT). Working with at risk families to teach 21st century employability skills as well as standards-aligned curriculum.
