- Senior NOC engineer supporting variety of network platforms, including troubleshoot and resolve customer and upstream provider routing issues. - Knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and static routes.- LAN and WAN network.- Coordinate and fulfill all new customer turn ups including configuration, routing updates and other network implementations such as BGP, HSRP, STATIC and BGP filter list application, routing protocol conversions, and managed customer premise equipment.- Configure T1/E1, T3/E3, Vlan and Ethernet.- Troubleshoot and resolve network security incidents including Denial of Service attacks through traffic/packet analysis and the use of Access Control Lists (ACL) and null routing.- Act as point of escalation point for issues escalated from the Tier I NOC engineers. - Provide training to tier I engineers.- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues IP network and with Managed Customer Premise Equipment (MCPE).- VPN.- Handle IP allocation and assignments.- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

- Work with vendors to support IP services such as remote connectivity circuits and Ethernet based IP services, including interactive troubleshooting and analysis with CLEC’s and other vendors.- Troubleshoot serial links such as T1 and DS3s.- Performing IPERF and BERT testing in troubleshooting circuits.- Troubleshoot and resolve customer DNS issues, as well as modify customer DNS records upon request.- Coordinate maintenance events and customer notifications process.- Work with providers to investigate IP routing issues such as degraded performance (packet loss/latency) or other routing concerns.
