Media Sifter is a news consumption platform that helps people to critically consume news. We do this by:#1 - Aggregating and sorting media, facilitating discovery of new publishers#2 - Providing tools to enable language and source analysis #3 - Contextualising stories by history and geography

Environmental coordinator at Øyafestival, a music festival in Oslo.

Hired on a project basis in connection with LoCloud, a European Best Practice Network, which aims to add digital resources from European cultural institutions to an on-line portal (Europeana). I helped the National Archive of Norway to convert and publish historical datasets as 5 star Linked Open Data. Working with Semantic Web Technologies such as RDF(S), OWL and SPARQL, I developed ontologies to represent the datasets and tools to generate RDF representation and to discover and validate links between datasets. Finally I developed a variety of web-based prototypes that visualizes the different datasets, using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
