At Stajez Cultural Arts Center, I'm responsible for instructing ballet classes for company dancers of different age groups, which includes 8-12 year old and 12-18 year old dancers. On top of that, I'm also responsible for providing advice for dancers to help improve their technique and abilities as well as personal and professional advice to help dancers become the best versions of themselves. In the classroom, my weekly class agenda consists of creating exercises at the ballet barre, center barre, and across the floor that is intended to focus on building strength and flexibility in the body. In addition, I'm also choreographing recital routines to showcase the dancer's progress and hard work over the season Finally, I'm working in a culturally diverse environment as the staff and student demographic is primarily African-American and they specialize in classes not found in traditional dance studios, like Afro-Caribbean and Liturgical dance.

At Staples, I am helping customers figure out problems with finding a product, answering any general problems or complaints customers may have, and providing solutions for any tech problems or tech products. In addition, I'm offering customers to sign up on the Rewards program and the Rewards app and purchase extended warranties on certain products, and I'm training new associates with getting used to the responsibilities needed for the job (e.g. working the register, how to put products in the right place, "blocking", etc.) In the store, I'm also helping with stocking and replenishing product on shelves constantly for customers to purchase products Finally, I'm receiving positive feedback from customers in person and on surveys as well as upper management for providing exceptional customer service.

During my time at Kara Anderson's Dance Studio, I assisted dancers of all ages with warmups, across the floor exercises, and providing input in the recital routines and/or dance combinations. Not only that, but I also observed various instructors to learn how to run a dance class smoothly and how to work with different age groups (e.g. younger dancers require more effort to keep them engaged and interested in comparison to the older and more experienced dancers). Plus, I helped Volunteer at the dress rehearsals and dance recitals in North Brookfield and Southbridge by organizing the stage and backstage setup, keeping track of the routine order and making sure the dancers are on time, and helping at the ticket counter at the front of the house. In addition, I also provided dancers professional advice on how to enhance their technique and abilities inside and outside of the studio. While I learned about the responsibilities and duties of a dance instructor, I also learned about the business side of a dance studio by learning about what is needed to run a dance studio and the components to consider to bring customers in and keep the business afloat.
