My background as an active duty United States sailor has taught me skills in leadership, organization, and interpersonal communication. As a supervisor in my role as an electrician I currently lead a work center of 25 sailors to meet the weekly and monthly goals. Through my organizational skills, with the help of Microsoft Excel, I have restructured the process of tracking our LED overhead lighting production in over 2500 spaces. We have had over a 20% increase in productivity with a decrease in man hours. I have used my interpersonal communication skills to build a rapport with my lower and upper chain of command which has had a positive influence on my leadership skills.
