About Me I have a deep love for caring for other people, beginning with babysitting in my early teens following through to today. I also am always doing something creative. From music and art to baking and sewing, my creative pursuits have made me a great problem solver as I have learned how to fix and tweak what I am making to fit the goal I had in mind. These skills have extended into my education and work lives. I went to cosmetology school, which fed both my creativity and my love of assisting people. While I was in school, I was able to acquire a part-time position at JOANN Fabric and Craft, where I continued to cultivate these skills. ExperienceI am currently a Recreation Aide with the City of Chandler, specifically with their Building Blocks Preschool. Here, I get to help 3-5 year-olds start to put the pieces together with numbers, letters, shapes, and more. Working with them has improved my communication, patience, and time management skills. I also work at JOANN Fabric and Craft as a part-time team member on the sales floor. Here, I dedicate myself to helping customers find the parts they need for all of their projects. I have learned how to communicate and direct people to the best products to finish their projects! Furthermore, I worked in a salon setting for a year, where I was able to fine-tune my skills as a cosmetologist, both hair skills and people skills. I find satisfaction in helping people figure out exactly what they need next with their hair or their project.Education I graduated from Perry High School in the top 8% of my high school class of nearly 900. From there, I went to cosmetology school and was the first to graduate from my class; now, I am a licensed cosmetologist in Arizona. I am currently a student at Northern Arizona University where I am pursuing a degree in Business Administration Emphasis in Marketing.Personal Life Approximately once a week, I organize a group to work together to solve complex social situations both internally and externally in hypothetical scenarios. The group and I make choices and see the possible consequences. We can grow as individuals and as a group.
