The role involved working closely to Council’s merit appointment process, convening interview panels with line managers, and ensuring all requisite records were maintained and updated using Scout and Smartsheet reporting systems.

This entailed the evaluation of active and vacant positions utilising a Unified Salary Scale framework. I managed a portfolio of business units, including Assets Infrastructure and Business (Property and Asset Management, and Roads, Transport and Drainage) ; Environment and Planning ; Finance ; Information Management and Technology ; People and Culture, and prepared position descriptions for review and implementation by senior management and senior people and culture stakeholders.A short-term contract role, I liaised with business stakeholders around position evaluation, and the utilisation of OO-Soft information system to confirm remuneration levels.

Qantas’ People Services team provide a wide range of support to the managers and staff across the various business units within the Qantas Group.The role of HR Advisor within the People Services Manager Support team is a multi-faceted role that included providing first point of contact advice to corporate and operational people leaders throughout the organisation.This role involved providing generalist HR advice, interpreting Qantas Group Policy and multiple employment and industrial arrangements. The Anywhere Healthcare team is a dedicated panel of medical specialists, equipped to deliver fast and effective online care through a secure virtual platform.In this position I was responsible for the sourcing, screening, credentialing and selection of medical professionals to join a panel of specialists. I partnered closely with the business to streamline a recruitment process aligned to the strategic objectives of the project, and developed a pipeline of talented candidates for implementation into the program. The company has three businesses: mining, mining consumables, and steel and recycling.Focussed on the Distribution function of the Steel and Recycling business, I was responsible for the sourcing and selection of candidates to join a nationwide branch network. My diverse portfolio has included The Australian Reinforcing Company (ARC), OneSteel Sheet & Coil, OneSteel Coil Coaters and Midalia Steel. The diversity of the portfolio meant I sourced and placed candidates across state, regional and branch management, sales and area management, customer service, specialist engineering and operational roles.I placed more than 150 people in metropolitan, regional and remote areas of Australia whilst receiving excellent manager and candidate feedback. As the team moved to a sourcing model of attraction, I have consistently reduced agency spend and time-to-fill for my businesses. Drawing upon my HR training and experience, I worked closely with the HR team to influence the business for better outcomes. This has included managing several stakeholders and the process for many senior level appointments and guiding the business towards a sourcing approach to talent acquisition.
