My name is Hayden Petersen and Mr. Scott is perfectly summarizing my feelings about writing about my work experiences. I always feel lost when it comes to writing about myself. It always feels impossible to summarize my work experience without sounding naïve, pretentious, or boastful. It seems the further along my career path I travel the more I learn how little I actually know. Though I have learned a lot and am able to provide a lot of value I still have a lot of growing to do. My career path has no definitive starting point. As a young kid I would go around my neighborhood and mow lawns and pull weeds to make those big bucks. I had a lot of odd jobs for odd amounts of time growing up. It wasn't till I moved out of the house and needed money for college that I really began focusing on what I did, and didn't want for a career path.So far I have found a great passion for end-to-end business development, organizational health, global sourcing, product development, finance, purchasing, and product innovation/engineering. I enjoy managing the entire life-cycle of a product and navigating all the complex challenges that it brings. I love learning about how all the gears in a company work together and am passionate about continually improving those systems. I find great fulfilment in striving to be a "solutions" man and providing value to all those around me. If I don't have a skill, I know I am more than capable of learning it quickly.My #1 priority in life will always be my family. I am a fortunate and fulfilled husband and father. My wife, 2 daughters, and son are the core of my happiness and motivation. Outside of family and work I enjoy spending time watching and playing sports, doing anything outdoors, DIY projects, and enjoying delicious food with great people.
