I recently graduated from the University on North Texas with a bachelor degree in Constructional Engineering Technology. I learned to apply basic geometric and algebraic concepts to solve complex problems in many of my classes. This degree also specialized in many management and business concepts. Prior to my attendance to the University of North Texas, I attained the rank of Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. While serving in the Marines, I worked on aircraft components. This resulted in a well driven and self-motivated attitude that had got promoted three time to become a department manager. As a department manager, I maintained composure during a fast pace and high stress environment by setting priorities and working to accomplish the task. This resulted in an increase in readiness by 50% as well as an increase in employee morale.I trained new employees on standards related to hydraulic systems on aircraft to ensure that equipment is safe for use, and that the employees are producing accurate test results while maintaining a safe working environment.I reviewed current working habits and implement new processes to reduce excess spending while upholding high quality craftsmanship on aircraft components. I do this by collecting data, establishing facts, define the problems, and draw a valid conclusion.I am accustomed to performing physical tasks such as heavy lifting and standing on my feet for long hours. I have the manual dexterity to reach and work on small parts with just my fingers and with limited view.I am a self-starter that can multi-task a can efficiently communicate through verbal communication and the use of MS Outlook. I give presentations regarding current progress on tasks to upper management using MS PowerPoint and MS Word.I have a passion and pride in for all tasks assigned to me. I would like to work in an environment that can utilize my strengths and teach me new techniques that I can use to further better the company.
