I began making films as I entered film school in Montana. Since then, I have worked in major commercial film productions in Paris, Los Angeles, Honolulu, and Austin for over 30 years. As an educator and teacher, I have also taught Digital Film Production full-time for 6 years at the Art Institute of Austin.I am currently the co-founder of SEE to ACT (Storytelling, Education & Empowerment to preserve Autonomy, Culture & Tradition), a non-profit organization. The organization's purpose is to empower individuals or communities through education and telling stories through the film to reconnect them with their own cultural identities that may have been forgotten or repressed due to conflict and wars or economic forces. In 2017, I released my first feature documentary film A Force in Nature: Jóhann Eyfells, which gained recognition at several film festivals, including "Best Doc" at the Hill Country Film Festival in Texas and DIY Film Fest in Santa Monica, CA. For the past 5 years, Simply Splendid has provided education, resources, and tools to help business owners get high-quality, stunning images that match clients' vision, save time, attract the attention of high-end clients, and increase revenue. We help designers, builders, small business owners, large corporations, realtors, home stagers, and Airbnb owners.
