I am a Diesel mechanic who trained on M.A.N. and Toyota as well as Mercedes Trucks. I then qualified as a Petrol Mechanic many years later to upskill my qualifications. I owned my own business, where I specialized in Mitsubishi vehicles. I can manage and train staff and directly liaise with customers. I can interpret faults and worn components as well as carry out diagnostics. I like to know why a component failed and adjust accordingly. I have my own tools. I am WOF and COF qualified.I spent many years in the South African Police services, Doing Crash Investigations, where I trained in Accident Reconstruction, Crime Scene Photography and Draughting. My mechanical qualifications saw me doing vehicle examinations at heavy truck crash sites. I was also with the Dog (K9) Unit, Flying Squad and I Served in the Dive/Search and Rescue Unit and trained in High Angle/ Ground Search and Rescue. I trained as a Medic and Hazardous Materials. I then went on to do duties at the SAPS Mechanical Workshop where my experience as a mechanic was utilised.
