I love working with machinery and metal. At Ingot Foundry - Marine Engineering (formerly Fieldings Foundry), my work involves using patterns to make metal castings of a range of different mechanical parts and decorative items. From large propellers that power boats and marine engine parts through to kerb markers or ornate window locks for period buildings, every day brings another opportunity to create and produce products using non-ferrous metals and a range of sands, particularly green sand, meeting the exact requirements for quality and high Australian standards. My 3D printing hobby studio means I work with AutoDesk Inventor and my Flash-Forge 3D printer, making patterns for tractors, trains, machinery and equipment or model Mars Rovers! I love learning and trying out new things and would like to expand my trade skills with a second trade that provides equipment and maintenance services. I have keen interests in the natural environment, space and of course, sport, gathering lots of facts. I don't just collect information on these interests, I also love participating - being on the tennis court or on the football field kicking a ball and being out in the bush, rivers or shorelines, exploring, investigating, collecting or fishing.
