I designed t-shirts, signs, banners, and nearly any form of promotional material, and collaborating with independent business to working directly with Amazon. Working for FASTSIGNS requires not only skills in designing logos and banners, but also social skills in collaboration with customers.When designing signs, it requires I either receive art already made by the company, or if they do not have high quality art that will fit on their banner, then I'll have to remake it based on their reference (typically a low quality JPEG). This part of the job is where skills in Graphic Design come in. I'd typically work on Adobe Illustrator CC and create a fully vectored version of the logo we need for print. Then we send a proof along to the customer, with the logo previewed over a banner, along with sizes and any additionally information they need about installing. Once the design is approved, the file is set for print (the file is manually given cut-lines, a bleed, and anything else specific to the banner, before it's sent to our production team. This is the average design flow.On top of that, I ran the entire Apparel Department, as the designer for every Amazon shirt commissioned to us, among many other companies. While I designed the logos for print, I also ran the DTG printers personally, and covered all the maintenance. Typically, Amazon would ask for upwards of 200 - 400 shirts on average, and we'd need to print them in a matter of a couple weeks. A multi-skilled job, for sure.
