I am a Vancouver-based media & entertainment producer and software developer. I sit on the national boards of the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA), the Black Screen Office (BSO), and the Canadian Independent Screen Fund for BPOC creatives (CISF). Along with extensive film & TV producer-side production experience, I have 10+ years in SaaS designing UX for media production workflows.While working producer-side on projects for senior production companies and my own shingle, Tabula Dada, I have worked on 5 international co-productions, 2 inter-provincial co-productions, 10 features, 2 TV series, 4 docs, and 2 video games. I am proficient in navigating the BC film & TV & Interactive digital media production space and tax credit systems.I started building ZedDrive to make my life easier on my productions. I was fortunate enough to find some GREAT people to work on it with me. We've shown it to a few colleagues, and here we sit 10 years later...I am passionately committed to creating a secure and seamless collaborative process for our prospective customers that allows them to focus on creating world-class media and entertainment for their audiences. ZedDrive is a growing business, and we want to be in business for many years to come. The test of our sincerity, or our hypocrisy, will be if everything we sell is useful, sustainable, and familiar but not subject to trends. We’re not entirely there.I produced the feature films ALONE (2010), HELLO DESTROYER (2016) and VIOLENTIA (2018), the CBC documentary DADS (2013), and the critically acclaimed video game EON ALTAR (2016). In 2017 HELLO DESTROYER was nominated for 4 CSA’s, including best picture, and named to TIFF Canada’s Top 10 list.I actively consult on theatrical & interactive digital media projects, most recently the international co-production with Ireland- FRENCH EXIT (2020). I regularly represent the CMPA, BSO, and CISF during government relations initiatives and funding agency discussions, and I regularly meet with Canadian broadcasters regarding equity, diversity, and inclusion for ALL equity-seeking groups.ZedDrive is a 100% BC-owned and operated company and has managed over 350 productions across the globe, including the dailies & cuts for many Netflix, CBC, and Bell Media productions, including every season of Cardinal, Letterkenny and Kim’s Convenience.Haydn 'does not like' long walks at sunset, cracks up at his headshot, and LOVES Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alfa Romeo’s, his Mum’s breakfasts, and jumping in puddles or the closest ocean with his wife and two amazing daughters.
