During the summer of 2023 - 2024 and 2024 - 2025, I worked a full time job at Office Products Depot. This job involved myself and five other colleges working in a warehouse creating and packing school stationary packs for schools across the Bay of Plenty and then delivering them. In this role I learnt the importance of trust and integrity due to the team collaboration that I was involved with. It was critical that you have full trust in your colleges and that they were doing their job correctly whether that be by putting the correct amount of books in the pack or labelling the boxes correctly. I believe I'm even more confident in teamwork now as a result of this job and the skills I developed.

During my first year at the University of Waikato I volunteered to be a class representative in my FINAN101 paper. This consisted of me passing on any strengths and weaknesses to the lecturer from my fellow students to ensure there was a good culture for learning.

It involved doing simple repetitive work for 10 hours a day whether that be by packing boxes, watching assembly lines or quality control work. Despite the challenges of factory work, I believe it's greatly strengthened me as it was a job outside of my comfort zone.

I gained a great clientele and learnt a lot about what it takes to run a business and the related skills and attributes involved in doing so. I did this job right up until year 13.

I undertook a leadership role at Totara Spring's holiday program's for 2 term holidays. I enjoyed my role and it stepped me out of my comfort zone as it involved looking after 8 kids in a cabin with my co- leader and helped them with activities, making sure they were having a good time and going to sleep at night along with attending to their every need. This meant that i personally had to make sure i was being a good role model for the entire week.
