Haye H. Glas was born on May 3, 1989 in Groningen. He finished high school in 2007 (C.S. Vincent van Gogh, Assen) and started with Technical Medicine at the University of Twente, Enschede in 2007. In 2014 he continued his study with the master Technical Medicine and specialized into Medical Imaging and Interventions. During his master’s program he completed several clinical internships at Medische Spectrum Twente, radboud University Medical Center, Ziekenhuisgroep Twente – hengelo and University Medical Center Groningen. he graduated for his masters Technical Medicine in 2017. hereafter he continued with his work at the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG). he started here as a technical physician and performed research in the field of 3D virtual surgical planning. During his PhD, he became a 3D specialist at the UMCG 3D lab for a wide variety of 3D applications, however he developed a special interest for 3D oncology and orthognathic treatment planning and augmented reality. he was active within the medical devices expert team and founded the Clinical Network Northern Netherlands. Through the Clinical Network Northern Netherlands, he provided numerous healthcare institutions, practitioners and patients with 3D virtual surgical plans. Currently he continues to provide 3D virtual surgical plannings services through his company 3D VSP
