In kindergarten I was fairly set on being an engineer. When the teacher asked what we wanted to be when we “grew up” I replied, “An engineer!” The teacher then asked, “Do you mean a train engineer?” I replied, “One that builds buildings!” In high school a teacher told me I couldn’t hack it through an engineering degree program. I took this as an utmost challenge.Then in December 2011 I graduated from the Missouri University of Science and Technology (the University of Missouri-Rolla) with a B.S. in Architectural Engineering, or as I describe it "building engineering,"​ with minors in business and history. (The history minor was just for fun for I find history interesting). After I graduated from Rolla I did a few odd jobs and since have gained approximately nine years of experience in structural/construction/civil related office work, six months in fieldwork related to concrete testing, soil compaction testing, and construction inspection, and approximately four of the six years is experience in real property due diligence for national mortgage lenders. I am currently pursuing P.E. licensure and have the ability to sit for the exam.What I consider my greatest accomplishments professionally and personally thus far are: obtaining my Eagle Scout award, graduating from Rolla with my B.S., and obtaining my Engineering Intern (E.I.) certificate.
