Kevan is the Senior Partnerships Advisor for USAID's Partnerships Incubator, a global service hub set up to expand the agency's capacity for partnerships, diversify and strengthen its partner base, and build the capacity of partners who have received an award from USAID. In his role, Kevan is designing and operationalizing the acceleration support delivery component of the Incubator to build USAID partners' strategic and operational capacities. The Partnerships Incubator's mission is to help USAID engage new and local partners and catalyze innovations that advance development impact and partners' journey to self-reliance. The Kaizen Company is an incubator for innovative, scalable solutions that address emerging market challenges and opportunities.

Launched at the 2013 World Water Week in Stockholm, Securing Water for Food: A Grand Challenge for Development is supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of The Netherlands (MFA-NL) collectively.The SWFF Technical Assistance Facility (TA Facility) is a $10.66 million enterprise accelerator that provides services to and direct involvement with the Grand Challenge Innovators throughout the world in the water-agriculture nexus. The TA Facility seeks to improve their market-driven business development, commercial growth, and scaling in a development context. The Technical Assistance Facility contributes to the SWFF program goal of sourcing and accelerating innovations that will enable the production of more food with less water and/or make more water available for food production, processing, and distribution.As the lead of acceleration services, Kevan worked directly with the SWFF awardees to diagnose their challenges to scale, and built a network of experts, investors, private sector companies, and foundations to provide support to help address those challenges.

Managing an assessment to understand the learning and job support needs of USAID Mission staff located in Latin America and the effectiveness of existing online information delivery channels. (Client: US Agency for International Development)Launched and managed a peer-to-peer learning program, leveraging social media tools, for globally-based law enforcement professionals to improve competencies in transnational organized crime investigation and prosecution. (Client: US State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs) Leveraged social media tools to connect Egypt-based entrepreneurs with local subject matter experts and resources to build expertise and skill sets. (Client: US Agency for International Development)Advised government ministries in the West Bank regarding collaborative learning and knowledge sharing techniques to improve job effectiveness and citizen service. Managed and executed a qualitative baseline assessment of the effectiveness of orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC) programs in meeting their physical, educational, and relational needs.Advised local community leaders in the creation of business plans for agricultural businesses whose profits will support the needs of OVC in the community.
