Following my undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne, with a Bachelor of Science (Human Nutrition), I decided to pursue my interest in law. I have over ten years of hospitality experience, including various positions at Woolworths and cafes in Torquay and Melbourne. I have gained valuable experience in communication and working in diverse teams to achieve business goals. I also self-confessedly make an excellent coffee. My skills are best suited to combining logic, problem-solving, and human interaction. I am now in the penultimate year of my Juris Doctor at the University of Melbourne. During my degree, I have participated in a range of extra-curricular activities. Most recently, I began volunteering at Barwon Community Legal Services. I am particularly interested in research and communication, which advocates for change. For example, I am active in organ donation awareness.

Senior StaffThe Salty Dog Cafe Dec 2021 - PresentTorquay, Victoria, AustraliaI am a senior staff member at a busy local cafe in Torquay. Particularly in summer, this is one of the busiest cafes given its beachfront location. I have held this job to support myself throughout my postgraduate studies. I primarily work as a barista here. My role extends to supervising the cafe from opening to closing. I frequently open the cafe, which includes setting up and beginning to trade in the early mornings. I work in a team of around 30 people of all ages in very close proximity to deliver quality food and beverages. A number of the younger employees are starting their first job. A key part of my position is teaching and fostering good work etiquette in the younger staff.

Store CashierWoolworths Supermarkets Jul 2017 - Oct 2022Torquay, Victoria, AustraliaI primarily worked in the front end of the Torquay North store. This was a customer service role involving working across the registers, overseeing the self-serve checkouts, and working at the front desk. I was trained to be a supervisor, so I was able to count money, return products and close the store.I held this position through my VCE and undergraduate studies. This meant I had to carefully manage my studies with work to achieve the results I did while maintaining my work performance. I also worked in other areas from time to time when needed by the store. This included day and night fill as well as performing various store tasks such as facing, changing the price tickets, stocktake and monitoring the use-by and best-before dates on products. -
