I am a kind and compassionate registered nurse with over 2 years of experience in pediatrics. I take care of all ages of patients ranging from newborns to patients in their mid 20s. My unit specializes in gastroenterology but I see a wide variety of patients. I often provide care to children who are on the liver transplant list and I coordinate communication between patients, families, providers, and different specialities.I love my nursing career and I am very involved on my unit. I frequently practice in the role of charge nurse as I have been recognized for my leadership and communication skills, I often precept new hires and student nurses because of my calm and patient demeanor, I am a central line auditor due to my attention to detail, I am a member of the unit advisory council because of my dedication to improving my work environment for my peers and patients, and I am a member of the nightshift task force because I want to improve patient satisfaction for those who are admitted to the hospital overnight.
