National Conference of State Legislatures, Washington, DC Completed anti-hunger, nutrition, and food justice state and federal policy research and compiled information into concise policy memos that were shared with state legislators throughout the nation; developed webinar content for a Supplemental Assistance Nutrition Program Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) program for state legislators, and organized, researched, and wrote a nonpartisan, objective policy report on the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program and current Universal School Meals legislation for the NCSL website.Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council, Boston, MASouth Shore Community Action Council, Boston, MAPerformed a needs assessment along the south shore, building relationships with over 30 community stakeholders via interviews regarding anti-poverty, anti-hunger, and developmental disability policies to assess gaps to food access; presented findings on food justice in group homes on Capitol Hill for a federal audience of the offices of Massachusetts State Senators and Representatives; wrote an extensive policy report on nutrition and food choice restriction in residential settings and presented these findings to the Developmental Disabilities Council and guests comprised of people with disabilities, community organizers, and state representatives.
