The bulk of my sales career has been spent working in the high volume, FMCG world of wine primarily here in the UK with the Top 4 major grocery retailers. Having seen the UK landscape for wine change dramatically as a result of FX and Excise, I generated experience being part of a team driving the boom in lighter styles of wine here in the UK and in Ireland as well as spending time investigating International Markets to develop successful avenues of new business. This provided 18 months experience working in part, in Hong Kong, China & Australia with both distributors and also directly with retail. During this time I naturally gained a huge amount of market insight, differing trading positions and market trends which has proved invaluable alongside great relationships & connections of course.As FirstCape was a proud sponsor of both the 2009 & 2013 British & Irish Lions Rugby Tour's, I also got first hand experience of major scale brand sponsorship and learnt how to drive business forward alongside, within my trading remit to underwrite ROI for the wider business.
