I have recently completed a Master of Biomedical and Health Science degree at Monash University, with graduation on the horizon. My academic and professional journey has exposed me to a wide array of scientific fields, ranging from medical oncology to metabolic neurophysiology, enriching my skill set with invaluable multidisciplinary expertise crucial for scientific commercialisation.During my tenure as a Student Research Assistant at the Cowley Laboratory within the Department of Physiology at Monash University, I delved into a comprehensive 9-month research project culminating in a robust thesis. This experience polished my proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and research methodology, setting a solid foundation for future endeavours.As part of my master’s degree, I completed a student internship at Inner Maven, a medical device commercialisation company that collaborates with Australian medical device companies to bring their products to market. My responsibilities included organising a medical device company’s attendance at an international conference, drafting a grant application and conducting market analysis. In addition to my academic pursuits, my roles as a waitress and gaming attendant have honed my soft skills, particularly in customer service, a critical aspect in both hospitality and scientific domains. My ability to collaborate effectively with team members ensures smooth operations in the bistro, while my proactive approach allows me to identify and prioritise tasks independently, such as table clearing. I excel in adapting my communication style to cater to a diverse clientele and thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining professionalism.Fuelled by a deep-seated passion for Metabolism, Oncology, and Immunology, I am driven to contribute significantly to the advancement of biomedical commercialisation. I am actively seeking opportunities in health-oriented organisations where I can leverage my skills and enthusiasm to drive progress in the development of new therapies, with a focus on medical devices and drug development.
