- Helping clients resolve tax problems brought about innocently, carelessly and deliberately;- Advising on the best way to resolve problems with HMRC and acting as a buffer between my clients and HMRC;- Calculating the fair amount of tax due based on application of the legislation and ensuring entitlement to various reliefs and allowances are not overlooked;- Penalty mitigation; - Appealing against decisions when HMRC makes errors.

I joined PKF after completing my A-Levels. At PKF, I studied for and obtained qualifications for AAT, ATT and CTA. I spent my first year in the Business Support Services team, then transferred into the Private Client team where I held a sizeable portfolio of tax compliance clients and got involved with tax advisory projects for a number of years. However, I found that my main interest was in tax disclosure work; fortunately, I was given the opportunity to work with John Cassidy (who I still work with to this day) when the Offshore Disclosure Facility started and have been developing in this role ever since.
