Leading the northern expansion of the award winning The Girls' Network mentoring programmes for young girls in schools and colleges across Greater Manchester, working with corporate partners and delivering training to raise aspirations and reduce gender inequality in the workplace

I was responsible for managing all the services delivered operationally for people living with dementia and carers in Manchester, Salford and Trafford ( previously also Oldham and Rochdale ) to legislation and PQASSO quality standards. I managed all the funding and grant contracts, worked closely with commissioners and stakeholders building trusting relationships and partnerships, had financial responsibility and took part in the budgeting, business planning and business development processes. I also had responsibility for property management of two offices and a team of 1 Manager, 8 staff and 30+ volunteers along with all aspects of health and safety, information governance and safeguarding. I also took part in media opportunities to raise awareness of the condition and attend and spoke at events and conferences across Greater Manchester.

Stockport, United Kingdom

I managed the NHS funded grant programme to support the health and wellbeing of all Stockport residents including priority 1 areas. I lead a funding panel of staff and volunteers to disseminate funding in line with NHS health and wellbeing priorities and objectives. I worked closely with partners, particularly the local authority to deliver the programme in priority 1 areas ( indices of deprivation) to improve outcomes. This involved collaborative working to deliver local participatory budgeting events, delivering training on governance, writing funding bids, roles and responsibilities and monitoring and evaluation etc to ensure consistent support for communities. I also managed a small team of staff and volunteers and put systems and processes in place to raise internal quality standards and mitigate risk.

Huyton, Merseyside

I was responsible for managing numerous concurrent environmental projects including school grounds, pocket parks, borough gateways, community front and back gardens and tree planting. This included working closely with internal and external stakeholders, local community groups including facilitating consultations along with Groundwork Knowsley, St Helens and Sefton and their contractors. I delivered all projects from inception to evaluation stage and ensured all met quality standard ISO 9001 at every stage. I was also successful at securing Heritage Lottery Funding for a River Alt development project to enhance existing work.
