Leading Interior Design and brand development internationally for several established operators and also emerging operators and developers. Our current key projects include a Six Senses Spa and Resort in Rajasthan, India; The upcoming Crowne Plaza at Sydney Olympic Park; ITC Dwarka as part of the Luxury Collection Group; The Royce Retirement community in NSW, the Carmel Hotel, Nanjing, China and some exciting private and multi residential properties across Australia, India and China.With combined experience in hospitality, high end residential, retail design and architecture, and having lived and worked on three continents, the Design BY QU team have established a diverse portfolio of successful and award winning projects, globally.

Growing HBA Bangkok to an international standard whilst continuing to work with leading operators such as Grand Hyatt, IHG, Ritz Carlton and Six Senses, and some exciting boutique projects in the local region. I am leading a team of 77 people as part of a duo director team.

Projects including; Shangri-la Harbin, Shangri-la Yingkou, Carlton City and Carlton Hotel Singapore, Palm Springs Condominium Sanya and Ritz Carlton Spa Macau, Hualuxe Wuhu, Wyndham Changxing, Zhong Geng Fuzhou and Grand Hyatt Macau. Regularly used skills; Autocad, Photoshop, Jalepeno, Powerpoint, Indesign; Designing and writing concepts, liaising on site at the Carlton Singapore hotels with the GM's and hotel owner's, and liaising with 3D renderers in our sister offices to create the designs my team and I envisage, with the use of hand sketching and detailing. Also regularly forming and maintaining relationships with suppliers, related design and engineering consultants and fellow colleagues and learning from award winning designers.

Working at KKD saw me extending my knowledge of FF&E extensively. I ran the library of suppliers and materials, creating a database for the office and seeking new materials. I became proficient in Vectorworks and Indesign as well as developing presentation skills and forming client relationships.Projects included London based high fashion brand Ringspun; Al Nusl Hotel in Saudi Arabia; London, Dubai and Saudi based ‘Bateel’ Cafe and Boutique; Central Market Department store in Abu Dhabi, designed in association with Fosters Architects; The Tower of London gift shops; Participation in pitches for high end fashion brands; Leading the branding and design for Shefield based ‘Cafe Zest’ - Following the project through both the concept and drawing stages as well as implementation on site; and leading the refurbishment at House of Fraser Milton Keynes.

I briefly worked as a freelance designer for Tonik associates, designing and presenting the Heathrow terminal 5 Hilton hotel. I also helped with the branding process for a small restaurant chain and some office planning.

I started working for Khuan Chew at KCA in London on a fixed term contract. Room planning for the Zendai Himalayas boutique hotel and Aqaba residences, and rendering 2D presentation drawings for a residency in Shanghai were my main tasks. I became proficient in Microstation and began to form my now extensive knowledge of suppliers, materials and various software programmes used within the interior design and architecture industry.
