About Hayley Pepler

Executive Producer and accomplished Director, Line Producer and Festival curator, with specialist expertise in the field of live broadcast, live and digital capture of arts programmes. I have recently taken up a role to drive Creative and Cultural strategy in a regional context for the West Midlands; using my extensive experience working across creative industries to bring insight and a new perspective to public sector policy for the sector. I have worked across all types of production and cultural project management, from single camera documentary shooting, to large scale multi-camera outside broadcast. My key skill is facilitating the efficient and creative collaboration between teams and across departments to produce content with the highest production values, brand and purpose at the centre, with the audience at its heart.During 2023 I led the Digital strategy and output for Factory International as they ran Manchester International Festival and opened Aviva Studios. Projects included producing live arts capture featuring Maxine Peake, supporting post-production for a new film by Jenn Nkiru, and producing the BBC arts capture of Danny Boyle's Free Your Mind reimagining of The Matrix. During 2022/21 I was Head of Content & Digital Broadcast for the country's national cultural festival - the UK City of Culture. Here, I led a team of storytellers, producers, filmmakers and podcasters to build a programme of content that best reflects the extraordinary stories emerging from the City of Culture programme. Since 2013, I have worked with Royal Shakespeare Company as a Producer of the Live From Stratford Upon Avon cinema broadcasts. Since 2015, I have also produced the RSC's Schools' Broadcasts. To do so, I train and mentor emerging filmmakers and production undergraduates at Ravensbourne University to produce the three hour live stream within a term.I studied screenwriting at the New York Film Academy, I'm a published author and my full length theatre play 'In the Motherhood' enjoyed a national tour in 2017. I've been twice-nominated for Royal Television Society Awards, as a Writer and Producer and most recently as a Director of Short Form Documentary.I work with people, brands, broadcasters and companies who want beautiful content with creative and commercial impact.
