Throughout the 2020-2021 summer period I will be completed a CCV studentship under the supervision of Dr. Mitchell Lawrence at the Biomedical Discovery Institute Prostate Cancer Research Program. My research project explored the effectiveness of combination therapies in the treatment of prostate cancers with diverse forms of drug resistance. Through this studentship I developed my laboratory skills in molecular biology and tissue culture ands worked effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to collect and analyse data. My research will contribute towards ongoing studies to identify combination treatments that block the growth of diverse forms of prostate cancer.

In association with Monash University, VARS aims to drive and support the uptake of Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) as a teaching and learning method. Through my university studies I completed a virtual internship at VARS. In this position I liaised between colleagues, supervisors and clients at the Monash Children’s Hospital to develop a virtual orientation program to the paediatric operating theatre. I worked effectively a team to meet weekly targets and oversaw the program design to promote creativity and innovation.
