I lead the Movement Labs Fellowship Program, recruiting fellows to participate in a three-month internship and professional development program. I manage the program, develop and lead curriculum, and provide professional development support to fellows.I also lead key internal operations, including leading the hiring of 100 cycle hires, and the end of cycle offboarding program (process management, logistical support, job support resources, etc). I support the Director of People in managing internal operations for our 175-person team.

I advocate for cities and counties across the Bay Area to adapt to the impacts of climate change by ensuring green stormwater infrastructure is part of the built environment. I seek to see more multi-benefit greening projects that address extreme heat, storm flooding, and pollution runoff into the Bay. I work collaboratively with city staff, elected officials, and community partners to forward community-driven nature-based solutions that prioritize the needs of frontline communities.

I work with a wide range of community stakeholders, advocates, agency staff members, elected officials, and private partners to push for equitable, affordable, and sustainable cities across the Bay Area and California. As Policy Advocacy Manager, I plan and lead advocacy campaigns and initiatives that center the needs of historically disadvantaged communities, and work to undermine a history of racist urban planning and environmental injustice. Through policy analysis and development, coalition building, and strategic partnerships, my work seeks to bring clean, robust, and affordable mobility options to everyone, regardless of income, race, or ability.In this role, I:● Lead a regional coalition of grassroots, labor, equity, environmental, and transit rider groups in a campaign for a regional transportation funding measure● Identify opportunities to advocate for improved public transportation, better access for disadvantaged and underserved communities, and more sustainable mobility options for low income and communities of color ● Lead state legislative strategy including bill tracking and analysis, coalition leadership, position development● Develop a strategic approach to organizational involvement in regional pandemic-related transit recovery efforts● Analyze local and regional policies and planning efforts; develop advocacy approaches and tactics to ensure equitable processes and outcomes, including equitable congestion pricing, affordable transit-oriented development●

In this role, I developed and led campaigns in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties to support open space and agricultural land protection and strategic regional planning to create thriving communities for all Bay Area residents. In this role, I:● Developed and implemented city- and county-level campaigns related to land use, open space, agriculture, and housing within Alameda and Contra Costa Counties; supported Bay Area-wide planning efforts● Grew grassroots efforts to protect agricultural land in Brentwood through leadership cultivation, policy research and analysis, campaign infrastructure development, grasstops engagement, and campaign strategy● Convened and led coalition of 15 organizations to influence Contra Costa County General Plan update, ensuring positive environmental justice, climate, open space, and smart growth outcomes● Created support for housing and smart growth in the City of Fremont by developing network of residents, policymakers, and advocacy allies, planning events, and supporting engagement in local planning decisions
