Experience working in an organic chemistry research laboratory with focus in organic synthesis and characterization techniques. Research specifics surrounded tetrazolethione compounds and their applications to photodynamic therapy (PDT). The position provided skill development in chemical synthesis, purification, and crystallization as well as the honing of characterization techniques such as thin-layer chromatography (TLC), infrared spectroscopy (IR), nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Held full accountability for the orchestration and completion of daily laboratory objectives in order to maintain noteworthy progression towards overall research goals and often presented research progress to the administrations and my peers. Delegated weekly tasks to undergraduate students. Assistantship required the progression of the following skills: Laboratory management, data analysis, maintenance quality control, schedule coordination, conduct literature reviews, undergraduate student supervision, progress report presentation, publication material contribution, and publication submission preparation.

Maintained a safe, instructive atmosphere while teaching introductory chemistry courses to inexperienced students. Position required the introduction and supervision of all laboratory operations and activities for up to four laboratory sections in a semester, or as many as 90 students. Managed the inner workings of the laboratory such as material preparation, equipment setup, and time regulation as well as assisted with lecturing and grading. Taught with a warm and engaging interpersonal style in order to build rapport with students and colleagues.
