Funded by the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) and the HKU Presidential PhD Scholarship (HKU-PS).My research involves multi-million-year-scale interactions between mantle geodynamics, crustal tectonics, topography, fluvial system evolution, and biotic migration and speciation, using the Miocene Himalaya as a case study. I generate, analyse, and visualise spatial, temporal, and geological data to form an understanding of complex Earth system interactions, and evaluate and validate these insights using a wide variety of independent datasets. I have taken multiple projects from idea inception, through successful grant making, totaling ~£185,000, to communication to a wide variety of audiences via peer-reviewed publications, presentations, and discussions.

- Developed and improved over 30 university students’ English language writing skills in formal academic writing, CV writing, and English proficiency tests (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL). - Received an award for consistently exceeding average Consultant feedback scores.- Developed students’ critical thinking skills (e.g. logical thinking, creativity, attention to detail) through targeted exercises, interactive discussions, and constructive feedback sessions, contributing to a 100% increase in the application of critical thinking elements in returning students' written work.

- Analysed peer-reviewed literature, extracted and compiled relevant detrital zircon data of Irrawaddy River deposits, Myanmar, and presented as age histograms to identify the source areas of these sediments.- Communicated key insights to a global academic audience at a conference.
