With eight years of experience developing public-private partnerships, I have been honored to facilitate discussions with community advisory boards, engage in program design, and spearhead the implementation of policies aimed at fostering equity for all. My work spans non-profits, governmental agencies, universities, and community-based organizations, emphasizing the power of strategic partnerships, breaking down silos, and consistently delivering tangible, meaningful outcomes.In 2022, Sayrs Consulting was brought on as a lead consultant for the policy implementation branch of the Chief Executive Office. Our firm manages all public relations and communications for the Women & Girls Initiative (WGI), a board-directed policy initiative housed within the Chief Executive Office of Los Angeles County. It is our commitment to support WGI in forging strategic partnerships and implementing groundbreaking policies. Notably, we champion initiatives like the Safe Haven for Abortion program, ensuring reproductive health services for millions of women in Los Angeles County. Additionally, we are proud to contribute to the recently established Sexual Assault Council (SAC), supporting the Board’s mandate that SAC prioritize vulnerable communities by closing service delivery gaps, promoting prevention, and advancing equity for victims through cross-sector collaboration and coordination.

The EMILY’s List Ignite Change Fellowship is a nine-week virtual initiative to train deeply engaged community leaders and advocates on developing their political skills, leadership, and confidence in potentially running for office.

Under the supervision of Dr. Michael Cousineau, health policy advocate and professor at the USC Department of Preventive Medicine, I helped manage NIH grant-funded projects, wrote and edited articles that examined the intersection of health policy and health disparities, and developed outreach strategies for collaborative public health events at the Keck School of Medicine such as the Gun Violence Prevention Symposium and Health Justice in the East Area.

Wrote and implemented a federal grant to develop garden-based science curriculum. Curriculum goals included: (1) empowering students in K-12 public schools to manage their own health and wellness through school-based hands-on gardening and biodiversity conservation activities; (2) pairing classrooms with Gardopia Gardens to promote public service, establish pollinator sanctuaries in urban areas, and maintain community gardens; and (3) raise awareness about sustainability. Leveraged community resources and building partnerships to sustain garden programming at schools and ongoing community events.

Secured and implemented a USDA Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP) grant for San Antonio's first university-supported farmers market, The Trinity Market. This pilot project had a dual focus: offering health and wellness education for the entire community while also offering an incubator to emerging entrepreneurs. In this endeavor, we developed vital partnerships with key organizations, including Nix Hospital, the Food Policy Council, and the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District, that created on-campus policies and expanded marketing strategies for health promotion. We also worked closely with the Entrepreneurship Department, effectively serving as an incubator for numerous small businesses, both on and off campus.The Trinity Market also worked closely with Trinity University to increase the institutional procurement of locally sourced and sustainable products on campus. To deepen our shared commitment to environmental sustainability, we harnessed both internal and external resources, allowing us to collaborate directly with our campus contractor, Aramark. This collaboration enhanced the university's sustainability efforts. In addition to our core activities, we led multiple community outreach events and educational demonstrations on diverse topics like nutrition, sustainability, and recycling systems. These initiatives significantly extended our outreach and education efforts, benefitting stakeholders across San Antonio.

Yoga Day works to improve lives through yoga. I created course curriculum and implemented classes in after-school programming at Lamar Elementary School and Idea Carver Academy.

Environment Arizona is a 501-c(4) non-profit organization that works to protect Arizona's air, land and water. I served as a field manager in the Phoenix chapter of a nation-wide campaign to raise awareness and gain public support for the renewal of the Clean Water Act. Polluting interests carved a loophole in the Clean Water Act that exposed 120,000 miles of Arizona's streams to pollution. Through door-to-door conversations and individual contributions, we restored protections for all non-navigable waterways such as streams, wetlands, and watersheds. With this same strategy, our organization was able to protect over 1.5 million acres of the Grand Canyon from uranium mining.As a Field Manager, I was directly involved in the recruiting process. I trained grassroots organizers on communication and messaging. Additionally, I created individual performance goals, carved turf with a voter database mapping tool, and developed supplemental outreach strategies including social media networking, coalition-building, and petitioning.

I worked to promote conservation of wild spaces throughout Arizona utilizing social media, newsletters, and event planning.
