Working within a local HSSE team of 2, I was responsible for Health, Safety, Security & Environment matters across retail, franchisee, customer, depot and terminal sites in WA & SA. This included risk assessment of 250+ sites, Pre Start Safety Reviews, Contractor Safety Management, Permitting, Permit Officer reaccreditations and Management of Change processes as a HSSE SME. I was solely responsible for the development and delivery of the 2017 Health and Wellbeing strategy for 3000+ employees. This included mental health training for 120+ managers across five states (inc. process and impact evaluation). Health Promotion webinars and campaigns, as well as the design, launch and maintenance of a Health & Wellbeing portal on the company intranet (SharePoint)I was also responsible for the development of Emergency Management Plans for retail & depot sites in consultation with regulators, emergency services and stakeholders across Australia. This EMP is used across Caltex in every retail and depot location nationally. I was involved in multiple ICAM investigations as a Lead Investigator. I am also a Fire Warden, First Aider & Mental Health First Aider. I was responsible for regulatory liaison and relationship building in both WA & SA, Emergency Response training, the use of Whispir Communications System and coaching employees in the use of the Safety Management System, Cintellate and DMS. Completion of national tender submissions for new and existing business for Operational Excellence (HSSE, Environment, Risk and Product Quality) from 2013 - 2018. I was nominated for Caltex Stellar Award (2014 & 2016) and a 'win award' for participation in the BHP tender (2014).Executive level reporting for senior leadership team, to quantify the risk increment of hands-free voice activated mobile phone operation in passenger vehicles. This included literature review, development of executive report with recommendations, MoC, policy amendment and companywide communications.

In my role as HSSE Coordinator WA/SA (2012-2014) I was responsible for Workers Compensation & Injury Management in WA & SA and was trained in both states requirements. I was also the National Manual Handling and Ergonomic Process Advisor, in partnership with the General Manager of Retail as Sponsor. In this role I was responsible for the development of a company wide gap analysis in consultation with key stakeholders across the business, corrective actions and governance reporting on national manual handling and ergonomic progress.

As Head Contractor (Fitout and Construction), I was responsible for providing a Health, Safety, Environment and Quality advisory service for projects throughout the Perth CBD and Perth Airport (landside). I was responsible for ensuring all activities complied with applicable HSE legislation, company policies and procedures, as well as maintaining AS/NZS 4801:2001 requirements and subsequent accreditation. I also assisted an external consultant to develop and implement an environmental management system to obtain ISO 14001 accreditation. Once this was achieved, I was responsible for ensuring ongoing accreditation and the management and accreditation of Green Star projects. Notable projects where I was the dedicated HSEQ resource include; Chevron Australia (Dynons Plaza), a 14-story high-rise in Perth CBD, achieving 4-Star Green Star accreditation and INPEX Browse (100 St Georges Tce), 4 level fit out including demolition of concrete and installation of internal stairwell, achieving 5-Star Green Star accreditation.

In this role I was responsible for general administrative duties including the development and distribution of digital and print newsletters, updating support group databases and assisting in the rebrand of the service.
