In addition to my existing responsibilities to support the entire organization in both operational and strategic work, manage legal disputes, including civil litigation, I am responsible for maintaining the relationship with the Tenant's Union and the rent negotiations. As Head of Sharing markets, I develop and manage the company's business activities and investments in the real estate market's sharing economy.

The first General Counsel of Heba, a publicly listed real estate company with a 70-year-old history! I work closely with management and support the entire organization in both operational and strategic work by being responsible for the rent negotiations and the legal tasks related to the rental market, including civil litigation, as well as working on business development for the companies in the corporate group.

A hobby project that enjoyed substantial growth during my tenure, hence enabling measurement of the successful impact my involvement can bring to any organisation.

As the only legal researcher who is specialised in the intricate and for a long time mystified Swedish rent control system, the s. c. "use value system", I was headhunted by the Justice department to assist the Special investigator the Social democratic government had appointed to lead the legislative work of drafting a new rent control legislation for new production Ju 2020:10. The work was led by the government directives and controlled by the Special investigator. For the most part, my task was about explaining the current law and market practices, drafting policies and legislation proposals to the Special investigator and the Committee of experts. It was a learning experience to work under such high political pressure from political parties, interest organisations, academics who are active in the media debate (but who are not specialised in the subject or have very limited knowledge of it) as well as the media.

Phd research is lonely work and requires commitment and personal drive. During my time as a PhD Candidate, I published papers (both peer reviewed and other) in Sweden and internationally, in both domestic and European journals. I also presented my work at high profile conferences, acted as an expert commentator on others’ paper at several international conferences. I also arranged academic seminars to which I invited researchers in both Sweden and abroad to attend. My commitment to learn from and interact with international scholars was essential when conducting my own research as the Swedish legal research community is rigidly protectionist and conservative.

Tasks I performed included drafting, revision and commenting on commercial contracts such as sale- and purchase contracts, lease contracts etc. for clients; writing of legal memoranda in areas of capital markets, commercial litigation, IP/public health law, law, sales law, and corporate law, including corporate governance; preparation of presentations for international clients regarding Swedish laws, strategies for establishing business in Sweden, conducting legal research, proofreading and translation of client documents. The work was performed either bilingually or in English.

Tasks I performed include arranging conferences and seminars (budgeting, managing invitations to guests and lecturers, preparing presentations and other activities in connection to the conferences); creating prospectus and folders for the research centre, updating the websites connected to the centres and other administrative tasks. Research assistants at the Centre are required to be attentive to details and be able to work under high pressure, as well as being good project managers.

Responsible for managing Juridisk Publikation’s content on national basis including reviewing of submitted material from students and established professionals; communicating with all four local editorial boards and managing their work with publication materials; and network building with academics, practicing lawyers and students in order to collect material of high quality. I am also one of the founders of the podcast that launched in January 2013.
