Transport Coordinator
This role is primarily working to manage an individual Site or Sites, but it is essential that the whole team work to together across the board to ensure tasks are complete and most importantly that all work is resourced for. On a daily basis I maintain good relationships with both Customer and Hauliers to ensure we hit the safety, service and savings targets. This involves answering any queries for that day’s work, planning cost effectively both from my Site but also across others in my team, supporting other Sites with resourcing when work loads increase, and maintaining tracking of any current work to help identify issues. Whilst working in this role I have been trained to plan for a few different Sites, as has the whole team, allowing me to step in to support other sites during other’s absences. As communication is essential, I maintain clear email chains and regularly check in with Hauliers through out the day. As each day is planned either 1 for 2 or 1 for 3 there are daily time targets to hit which ensure our Hauliers are fully prepared for the next day’s work.
Administrator
Working as an administrator for a OCDEA has added additional elements to my base skills. From take-off from Architects' drawings, prepping EPCs for issue, maintaining Site specific air testing regimes, to issuing Quotes & Invoices and chasing outstanding Invoices. Whilst working with GDF I have created various FAQ sheets to help cut back on some of the regular general queries we receive, have modified the database to help streamline the archiving process and have generally supported the OCDEA in their role to support their workload where possible. Over the last year and a half I've gotten to grips with many of the usual queries we get over the phone and can usually answer the majority of questions but currently still defer to the Boss for the more specialist queries. I have found I've thrived with the independence of managing my own workload within the small team setting, and whilst not possible in this position, think working at least part time from home would work well.

This work involved the use of various systems including Adapt, Bullhorn and Sirenum, the latter of which I am was superuser for and assisted in the launch of. Unfortunately, as the branches became streamlined by role moved towards that of an actual recruiter rather than purely an admin which as a role, I did not feel suitable for.
