• Responsible for overseeing the Sage purchase ledger system including management of all suppliers and dealing with any issues that arise as and when necessary.
• Reporting to the CFO on a monthly basis for the preparation of monthly management accounts including posting monthly journals for payroll, prepayments, accruals etc.
• Reconciliation of all bank accounts, petty cash and credit card statements.
• Accountable for posting all payments, as well as issuing appropriate remittances.
• Managing the department on a regular basis and delegating tasks to the appropriate assistants. First point of contact in line manager’s absence.
• Creation and maintenance of various excel spread sheets to aid managers in analysis and reporting.

• Preparation of financial statements from primary accounting records for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Preparation of corporation tax computations and calculation of schedule D Case 1 adjusted profit for sole traders and partnerships.
• Provision of bookkeeping services for clients on their accounting system (both manual and computerised) which includes VAT Return completion.
• Sage Line 50, from data input to report generation, needed to extract relevant information for management accounts purposes and financial accounts preparation.
