Hazel began her career as a clinical psychologist working with adults, but soon developed an interest in early intervention and prevention. This led to her training as a child psychotherapist, working in children’s mental health. She led the project to develop the Solihull Approach, aiming to embed key messages from research about emotional health and well-being in training for practitioners and information to parents. She advocates access for everyone to antenatal courses and courses for parents.
