- Testing animal tissue for BVD as part of the BVD Eradication Programme by AHI.- Responsible for receipt, preparation, and testing of tissue samples.- Daily laboratory quality checks- Ensuring all work is carried out according to deadlines.- Participate in training programmes - undergoing further training as required- Maintain accurate and systematic records in accordance with documented procedures- Ensure all laboratory procedures are carried out in compliance with ISO 17025 requirements- To satisfy the customer base to the standard set out in the company's policies- Carry out microbiological tests on water samples to determine the presence or absence of various micro-organisms and perform total bacteria counts- Undertake environmental monitoring in each laboratory to ensure the reliability of results -Operation of BioMérieux Vitek in relation to identification of bacteria and antibiotic resistance profiling)- Screening soil samples for ESBL E.coli using differential media -Enumeration of E.coli in shellfish samples
