As an educator with Farmersville ISD, I taught math to sixth through eighth graders for many years. I always wanted my students to actually see the whys of math. They needed to see the relationships that surround and encompass math. When I taught Algebra 1 in the eighth grade, setting I included many projects that showed the applications of the concept being taught. It was my goal to involve them with math in their world.After eighteen years in the classroom I decided to go into administration. Since I already I had a Master's degree in Education, I took the addtional classes and received my Mid-Management Certificate from Texas A&M Commerce. I was Assistant Principal for Farmersville Junior HIgh for one year before earning the privilege of being the Principal at Farmersville Intermediate School. I have thoroughly enjoyed the students and staff members of this school. We, as a staff, have earned honors and recognitions for our dedication to our students and our school.I am now looking towards retirement in a couple years. I would like to find something to do on a part time bases. I have spent many years working with and enjoying people and I know I will miss interacting with others.
