Reporting to the Executive Director, responsible for providing strategic vision and leadership to deliver relevant and impactful connection and information between AKI and its desired target audiences through:• Communications Strategy Development and Implementation With input from the senior management team, develop and execute a strategic annual communication plan that is aligned with the business goals. Execute consumer awareness and education campaigns through a variety of communication channels including publications, social media and digital campaigns, and events.• Budgeting and Planning Budget and plan for the execution of the strategic communication plan initiatives• Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration Map and engage internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business goals. • Market Research Oversee market research and data collection to keep membership abreast of emerging trends in the industry and inform business decisions.Key Achievements• Successfully established a vibrant Public Relations Department at the Association that has increased brand visibility, improved media relations and stakeholder engagement. • Carrying Consumer Awareness Campaigns that have raised insurance awareness in the market from 76 per cent in 2016 to 95 percent in 2021. • Led the Execution and Planning of the 48th African Insurance Organization (AIO) Conference and Annual General Assembly held in Nairobi in June 2022. • Growing the AKI Digital Media Platforms followers and reach, from7,352 followers in 2016 to 51,398 as at June 2022. • The Lead Publicity Member of the AKI Awards Taskforce since 2017. Through the publicity team efforts, it has resulted to company participation growth of 40% with over 1000 event attendees.• Industry Innovation and Product Development. Carried out insightful market studies that have led to changes in product development, partnerships and the overall insurance value chain and delivery channels.

Reporting to the Managing Director, my role involved developing proposals and budgets, pitching to clients and executing experiential marketing projects. Key Achievements  Executed the Fair & Lovely Career Fair 2009 event in 10 girls secondary schools across the country on behalf of Unilever Kenya. This involved planning, budgeting, coordinating the event, logistics and final reporting. This event grew brand affinity for Fair & Lovely product and increased product sales by 30 per cent. Executed launch events for Nokia 5130 and 5230 handsets in Kenya and Tanzania on behalf of Nokia. This involved coordinating street and radio activations and event logistics.
