Responsibilities of Registered Nurses in Long Term Care (LTC):• responsible for providing leadership while also working collaboratively with other members of the team. • to clearly communicate with others, work compassionately with residents, resolve conflicts and problems as they arise.- provide care to residents on a regular basis. This can include everything from helping residents take their medication, to performing physical and mental examinations, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and more. •delegate work to other team members while simultaneously supervising/teaching as required. •We are expected to communicate with family members of residents to provide updates on their health and well-being, as well as discussing the ongoing care and what the family can expect in the future.• perform routine procedures such as recording vital signs and administering medications while also providing specialized treatments for progressive and chronic conditions • provide educational and emotional assistance to patients and family members.
