Primarily my main role at the moment is to provide specialist advice and guidance to our NHS organisations with regard to investigations following SUIS. I work with our organisations to help improve their understanding and knowledge of patient safety. I provide advice and guidance on investigation processes to both commissioners and provider organisations. I facilitate multi-agency reviews and provide advice support and training at all levels of the organisation to improve knowledge and understanding of how errors occur. I underpin this with practical advice and guidance on improvements to investigation techniques and embedding the learning.
